Let me ask you a simple question: "Are you the driver or the passenger in your life?"
Yes, I know we can't control everything that happens to us. But most stress in your life comes from your perception of not being in control of a situation though.
How about being a director instead of only the actor in your life? Wayne Dyer talks about being not only the actor in your life, but also the director and producer. Actors are just given scripts that they then play out. They have no say in how the story line progresses. Directors make conscious choices about how the story is going to be told. Producers select the ideas that become the storylines created by directors and actors. out 'locus of control'-- whether you feel your life is controlled by you or by forces outside yourself.
